Brandywine Counseling & Community Services Launches Platform to Support Individuals in Treatment and Recovery for Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder

Solution from CHESS Health provides 24/7 peer support in Wilmington

Wilmington, Delaware, August 15, 2023 – CHESS Health, the leading provider of evidence-based digital health solutions for substance use disorder (SUD), announced today that Brandywine Counseling & Community Services (BCCS) has launched the eRecovery solution to support patients struggling with substance use disorder (SUD) and/or behavioral health issues. BCCS is an organization in Delaware addressing the complex needs of families and individuals facing SUD or mental health disorders, their co-occurrence, and the secondary issues related to substance misuse and mental illness.

Individuals in treatment and recovery will now have access via their smartphones to a team of certified peer recovery digital support specialists and a robust set of tools, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  The program is especially needed in the wake of increased overdose deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic and the dramatic increase in synthetic opioid abuse.  CHESS Health’s eRecovery solution, which includes the Connections app, helps individuals reduce isolation, build confidence and adhere to a treatment and recovery plan.

“BCCS is proud to usher in technology-based innovations to Delaware’s recovery communities,” says Lynn M. Morrison, PhD, Chief Executive Officer at BCCS. “Our partnership with CHESS Health enables us to support individuals throughout their journey, day or night, no matter where they live.”

“It’s essential that recovery support reaches patients where they are,” said Hans Morefield, CEO of CHESS Health. “That means getting support tools like the Connections app in individuals’ hands as they leave treatment facilities, start outpatient care, or even pre-treatment. We’re proud to partner with the team at BCCS – the perfect complement to our technology.”
