Solution Overview
North Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services is making key components of the eRecovery solution available to select behavioral health entities across the state. Included in this program offering is the Connections app, an evidence-based, peer-powered recovery support app. Available in both English and Spanish, this application equips users with coping mechanisms, recovery support tools, virtual group meetings, and discussion forums, while providing a space to share and celebrate achievements. Additionally, providers can promote the use of the Digital CBT module.A dedicated team of Peer Support Specialists provides 24/7 moderation of the online community and crisis support, with escalation communication back to providers to ensure seamless care coordination. Also included is Companion, a digital support platform designed specifically for family members, friends, and caregivers of individuals with substance use disorders. Through peer communities, expert guidance, and practical resources, Companion offers a supportive online community where they can share experiences, access valuable resources, and navigate the complexities of recovery support while maintaining their own well-being.
